Polish Up Your Development Plan

Posted by on Jan 10, 2016 in What We're Thinking... | 0 comments

January heads-up: Does your organization have a development plan for 2016? Your plan should lay out a clear strategy for achieving the dollar goals (you have those, right?) for operating support and special programs. Your plan will help the board and staff to gain common expectations and better understand the workflow and priorities for the time, effort and finances devoted to funding opportunities.

Dr. J. Cliff Christopher, author of “Not Your Parents’ Offering Plate” and other popular books, is a headliner. There’s a long list of program options, sure to fill your mind with good ideas. This will be held in late March in Orlando.  http://www.ucc.org/stepping_into_stewardship Get out there and get...

Fall is Planning Season

Now is the time to be sure your organization will have a plan for 2016. Choose a few priorities and be strategic in choosing how you will apply your resources to those objectives. Doing a few important things well is better than trying to do too many and doing them poorly.
